Invitation: network event & drinks & survey
A while ago, the VWR created the PhD Platform in order to facilitate contact between PhD candidates in legal philosophy (broadly interpreted) in the Netherlands and Flanders.
We would like to take a next step in order to make this happen.
When: September 13, 2019
Where: Tilburg
The Netherlands Association for Philosophy of Law (VWR) organises a network event (followed by drinks) for PhD candidates in legal philosophy (broadly interpreted), where they can get to know each other better and exchange ideas.
The preliminary programme:
- 15:00 | Introduction & welcome by Elaine Mak
- 15:15 – 17:00 | Short presentations by PhD candidates and discussion
- 17:00 – 18.30 | Drinks
Participation is free for PhD candidates in legal philosophy. Please register by September 1 via e-mail to antonia.waltermann@maastrichtuniversity.nl.
We ask all participants to prepare a short presentation (pptx or comparable, max 3 slides/5 minutes) with the following information:
- Topic of PhD research and information about the legal philosophical/theoretical character of it
- Method of PhD research
- 1-2 questions or difficulties you face in your research.
Moreover, we would like to hear from you what wishes exist among PhD candidates in legal philosophy with regard to education, forums for debate and contacts, and what the VWR could initiate in this respect. Please help us by filling in the survey HERE.
